Is Israel Preparing For An Imminent Criminal 'Pre-Emptive' Strike On Iran?
The Internet Cable-Cutting, False Allegations, And Psychops Have Suddenly And Dramatically Increased...
'Cutting Cables, Lighting Fuses'
'A third undersea cable has been cut, effectively eliminating the Internet in the Middle East. But according to CNN
that cable outage does not extend to Israel, Lebanon and Iraq. Is it a coincidence that these three countries, who
represent the next phase of the war on terrorism, were spared in the communications blackout that is affecting the
rest of the Middle East?...The news of the multiple acts of cable sabotage are clear proof that a hostile force is
doing its best to isolate the greater Middle East region (all the way to India) from the rest of the world. With the
Internet down, it will be impossible for anyone to transmit video evidence out of the visually-embargoed zone, except
for those who have satellite uplinks, like the major news networks...The depth of these cables means that they can
only be reached by submarine or deep submersibles, means that it could not have been done by al Qaida the "toilet,"
which doesn't have a navy, or a submarine. The cable cutting had to have been the work of state terrorists. This
sabotage Friday followed on the heels of another attack on two other submarine cables, which took place Wednesday,
5 miles off the Mediterranean coast of Alexandria, Egypt. The cable cut at 05:59 GMT Friday, 34.8 miles off the coast
of Dubai, belonged to the same British FLAG network (FALCON), whose main line connecting Europe to Asia was
severed Wednesday along with SEA-ME-WE 4, a competitor's cable which served as systems back-up. Both went
through the Suez Canal on their way to India, Sri Lanka and Pakistan, as well as across Egypt (land segment),
where it cut across North Africa to Tunisia, Algeria and Morocco. The FALCON circuit that was taken down Friday,
circled around the Persian Gulf, picking-up the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, and the other Gulf States...In
addition to the escalating psyops operation that is being directed at Lebanon and Syria, Israeli leaders have
stepped-up their unending war of words being directed at Iran. PM Olmert used the celebration of "Holocaust Day"
to announce to the world (in an off-hand manner) that Israel was ready to act against Iran on its own (forcing the
US to honor Bush's commitments to defend Israel, no matter what)...According to a Washington Post interview with
Defense Minister Barak, Iran has already "gone beyond the Manhattan Project"...As if Barak's charges (if they were
true) of Iran attempting to fit existing nuclear warheads to its long-range missiles wasn't sufficient grounds for a
pre-emptive strike, Israel has recently opened another line of attempted justification for its coming aggression, by
announcing that they have evidence that Iranian rockets have been launched from Gaza into Israel...'

'Finger-Thin Cables Tie Internet Together'
'..."Most telecom companies have capacity at multiple systems, so if one goes out, they simply reroute to a different
system," said Stephan Beckert, analyst at research firm TeleGeography in Washington. "It's just that in this case,
both the main route and the backup route got cut for a lot of companies." The two cables - FLAG Europe Asia and
SEA-ME-WE 4 - were cut on the ocean floor just north of Alexandria, Egypt. By an accident of geography and global
politics, Egypt is a choke point in the global communications network, just as it is with global shipping. The reasons
are the same: The country touches both the Mediterranean and the Red Sea, which flows into the India Ocean. The
slim fiber-optic cables that carry the world's communications are much like ships, in that they're the cheapest way for
carrying things over long distances. Pulling cable overland is much more expensive and requires negotiation with
landowners and governments. So fiber-optic cables that go from Europe to India take the sea route via Egypt's Suez
Canal, just as ships do. Another Mediterranean cable makes land not far away, in Israel. But there's no cable
overland from Israel into Jordan and to the Persian Gulf, which could have provided a redundant connection
for the Gulf States and India...'

And A Reminder Of Prior U.S. Navy Preparations In The Gulf For February....
'U.S. Navy Steps Up Fuel Deliveries To Gulf Forces'
'The US military has stepped up chartering of tankers and requests for extra fuel in the US Central Command area,
which includes the Gulf, shipping and oil industry sources say. A Gulf oil industry source said the charters suggested
there would be high naval activity, possibly including a demonstration to Iran that the US Navy will protect the Strait
of Hormuz oil shipping route during tensions over Teheran's nuclear programme. The US Navy's Military Sealift Command
(MSC) has tendered for four tankers in November to move at least one million barrels of jet and ship fuel between Gulf
ports, from Asia to the Gulf and to the Diego Garcia base, tenders seen by Reuters show. It usually tenders for one or
two tankers a month to supply Gulf operations, which include missions in Iraq...Fuels specified to be moved between
Gulf ports include JP5, high flashpoint jet fuel, used to power F18 fighters aboard aircraft carriers. "They have been
very active," said a ship industry source, familiar with the MSC tender process, who asked not to be named. "Out of
the multiple charter requirements they issue, they usually do maybe one or two (tankers) a month in the Gulf...The
source in the Gulf, with 50 years of experience in the oil industry, said the charters were indicative of extra US military
requirements for fuels. "Bahrain, for example, has confirmed that there are additional volumes being requested by the
US Defense Energy Support Center, including JP5," the Gulf source said, speaking on condition of anonymity. One of
the largest commercial tanker hires is on a time-charter basis, the length of time a ship is sought, stipulating a period
of 90 days to carry a range of fuels between locations in the Gulf and the Gulf of Oman. The time charter, which begins
in early December and allows for multiple journeys in Gulf waters, is to carry a minimum of 310,000 barrels of jet and
marine fuel, some of it JP5. "What's most interesting is the time-charter in the Gulf. It's a big ship and here we have a
commitment for a lot of movement of fuels, backwards and forwards down to the Strait of Hormuz and the Gulf of Oman,"
the Gulf source said. "This confirms there is going to be a lot of activity, possibly a serious demonstration to Iran that
the military means to protect the Hormuz Strait," he said...In February, 2007, oil industry sources told Reuters Riyadh
had raised the amount of jet fuel earmarked for the military from 1.5 million barrels last year to close to eight million in
2007. Apart from the time charter, MSC has also tendered for commercial tankers to move 235,000 barrels of marine
diesel from South Korea to Jebel Ali and Fujairah in the United Arab Emirates and 310,000 barrels of JA1 jet fuel from
Bahrain to Mesaieed in Qatar. Both tankers are required in November. A separate requirement is for a tanker to move
147,000 barrels of ship fuel from Singapore to Diego Garcia in the Indian Ocean, close to the Gulf and Arabian Sea.
MSC has ships stationed there, known as Maritime Prepositioning Squadron Two, used to support combat operations.
In the past the United States has used the British Indian Ocean territory for long-range bombing raids on Iraq and
Afghanistan. Fuel movements have provided advance clues of US intentions...'

'Iran And Bush's Crisis of Truth'
'...By now most of us are familiar with the President's feelings and rhetoric concerning Iran. They have a familiar ring.
They sound a lot like the buildup to the invasion and occupation of Iraq.Recently the Center for Public Integrity, a
non-profit investigative reporting institution, published a report: "Iraq: the War Card." The report documented 935 false
statements made by President Bush and seven top administration officials in the two years following September 11, 2001
concerning the national security threat posed by Iraq to the US The top liar was the President. He made, according to
the report, 232 false statements about Iraqi weapons of mass destruction and 28 false statements about Iraq's links with
al-Qaeda. In this light we should examine carefully any statement the President makes concerning Iranian threats to
world peace. A look at a map of the region helps put things in perspective. We see that Iran has 13 "next-door neighbors."
Seven share land borders with Iran while six countries lie directly across the Persian Gulf. Of these 13 all but five (Oman,
Saudi Arabia, Armenia, Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan) contain US military bases. Of these five, Oman and the US
negotiated a 10-year agreement in 2000 which gives the US access to three Omani air fields. The other four neighbors
are all recipients of US aid. Pending congressional approval, this will include President Bush's recent offer to Saudi
Arabia of a $20 billion arms package. Two of Iran's neighbors, Afghanistan and Iraq, have recently been invaded and
occupied by the US. Another neighbor, Pakistan, is a nuclear power and a US ally in the "Global War on Terror."
Another nuclear power and US ally, Israel, lies within striking distance of Iran. In the Persian Gulf, according to the
US Navy Times, the US is currently deploying an aircraft carrier strike group and two expeditionary strike groups. A
partial list of this force includes an aircraft carrier; two amphibious assault ships; three guided-missile frigates; four
guided-missile cruisers; six-guided missile destroyers; two dock landing ships; two amphibious transport dock ships;
and two fast-attack submarines (one deployed independently of any strike group). In sum, Iran is nearly encircled by
the air, land and naval forces of the world's most powerful military. Iran may not be run by saints. No country is. But
Iran has never threatened the US. Nor has Iran ever invaded another country. The Iranian Supreme Leader, Ayatollah
Ali Khamenei, has pledged there will be no Iranian nuclear weapons, nor will Iran start a war. On the other hand,
preemptive war is now openly acknowledged to be an "option" in US political/military strategy. We demonstrated this
convincingly when we invaded Iraq -- a country which had never harmed us, was not preparing to harm us and had
never even threatened to harm us. Nevertheless we initiated a conflict which has, to date, killed at least 150,000
and created 4,000,000 refugees. Invading a country which has not threatened the invader is aggression: the "supreme
international crime," according to the Nuremberg Tribunal. Whether Iranian President Ahmadinejad, who is not the
ultimate decision maker in Iran, has threatened to "wipe Israel off the map" is open to debate.
It is not open to debate,
however, that both Israel and the US have repeatedly threatened to attack Iran. Despite all this President Bush
continues to assert that Iran is a threat to world peace and the world's leading sponsor of terror...'

'Iran Warns U.S. Against Irrational Decisions'
'Iran's top military commander said his forces will retaliate against American military bases in the Persian Gulf if they are
involved in any possible future attack on Iran. Commander of the Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC)
Major General Mohammad Ali Jafari told Al-Jazeera television on Saturday that it was Iran's "natural right to respond"
if attacked by land or air, AP reported...On a recent visit to the Persian Gulf countries, US President George W Bush
branded Iran the leading state sponsor of terror, and said "all options" against Tehran remain on the table. Bush, who
finished a tour of the Middle East earlier this month called on his Arab allies to unite against Iran. But hosting officials
of the regional nations dismissed Bush's allegations, describing Tehran as a good friend of their countries. '

'Middle East Internet Blackouts Spur Geopolitical Suspicions'
'Unprecedented mass Internet outages throughout the Middle East and Asia after no less than four undersea Internet
cables were cut without explanation are spurring suspicions that a major event of geopolitical proportions may be just
around the corner. Internet blackouts are impacting large tracts of Asia, the Middle East and North Africa after four
undersea cable connections were severed. Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Bahrain,
Pakistan and India, are all experiencing severe problems. According to InternetTraffic.com, Iran has been completely
cut off from the Internet, though Mahmoud Ahmadinejad's blog can still be accessed. Most notably, Israel and Iraq
are unaffected by the outage. "Stephan Beckert, an analyst with TeleGeography, a research company that consults
on global Internet issues, said the damaged cables collectively account for the majority of international
communications between Europe and the Middle East," reports CNN. Officials say that the cause behind the severing
of the cables remains unknown, but United Arab Emirates' second largest telecom company said the cables were cut
due to ships dragging their anchors. Is this a pre-cursor to throw a veil over an imminent staged event in the Middle
East? "What are the odds? Who benefits?" asks the Crimes and Corruptions blog. "Let's see. Iranian rapprochement:
"Recent months have brought signs of a growing rapprochement between Iran and Egypt." "What nation would not
like this and has subs which could cut the cables? Why do it? Payback as over the net business is badly damaged.
Or is this a setup for more? Note the internet is working just fine in Israel." Over at WhatReallyHappened.com, Mike
Rivero points out that the mysterious cable sabotage could portend another imperial Neo-Con crusade in the works.
"The biggest problem the Bush administration faced during Iraq were images coming over the internet that showed the
horrors being visited on the Iraqi people, and exposed the government's lies about Saddam," he writes. "I am greatly
concerned that these undersea cable cuttings are intended to prevent the world from seeing something that is about
to happen, other than through the government-controlled propaganda/media."...'

Pentagon: The Internet Needs To Be Dealt With As If It Were An Enemy 'Weapons System'
'The Pentagon's 'Information Operations Roadmap' is blunt about the fact that an internet, with the potential
for free speech, is in direct opposition to their goals. The internet needs to be dealt with as if it were an enemy
"weapons system". The 2003 Pentagon document entitled the Information Operation Roadmap was released to
the public after a Freedom of Information Request by the National Security Archive at George Washington University
in 2006...From the 'Information Operation Roadmap': "When implemented the recommendations of this report will
effectively jumpstart a rapid improvement of CNA [Computer Network Attack] capability.",,,"Enhanced IO [information
operations] capabilities for the warfighter, including: ... A robust offensive suite of capabilities to include full-range
electronic and computer network attack"...Would the Pentagon use its computer network attack capabilities on the
Internet? "We Must Fight the Net. DoD [Department of Defense] is building an information-centric force. Networks
are increasingly the operational center of gravity, and the Department must be prepared to "fight the net." ..."DoD's
'Defense in Depth' strategy should operate on the premise that the Department will "fight the net" as it would a
weapons system."...It should come as no surprise that the Pentagon would aggressively attack the "information
highway" in their attempt to achieve dominance in information warfare. Donald Rumsfeld's involvement in the
Project for a New American Century sheds more light on the need and desire to control information...The Project
for a New American Century (PNAC) was founded in 1997 with many members that later became the nucleus of the
George W. Bush administration. The list includes: Jeb Bush, Dick Cheney, I. Lewis Libby, Donald Rumsfeld, and
Paul Wolfowitz among many other powerful but less well know names. Their stated purpose was to use a hugely
expanded U.S. military to project "American global leadership." In September of 2000, PNAC published a now
infamous document entitled 'Rebuilding America's Defences'. This document has a very similar theme as the
Pentagon's Information Operations Roadmap which was signed by then Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld.
From Rebuilding America's Defenses: "It is now commonly understood that information and other new technologies
...are creating a dynamic that may threaten America's ability to exercise its dominant military power."..."Control of
space and cyberspace. Much as control of the high seas - and the protection of international commerce - defined
global powers in the past, so will control of the new "international commons" be a key to world power in the future.
An America incapable of protecting its interests or that of its allies in space or the "infosphere" will find it difficult
to exert global political leadership."..."Although it may take several decades for the process of transformation to
unfold, in time, the art of warfare on air, land, and sea will be vastly different than it is today, and "combat" likely
will take place in new dimensions: in space, "cyber-space," and perhaps the world of microbes."...Internet 2: Part
of the Information Operation Roadmap's plans for the internet are to "ensure the graceful degradation of the
network rather than its collapse."...This is presented in "defensive" terms, but presumably, it is as exclusively
defensive as the Department of Defense...As far as the Pentagon is concerned the internet is not all bad, after
all, it was the Department of Defense through DARPA that gave us the internet in the first place. The internet is
useful not only as a business tool but also is excellent for monitoring and tracking users, acclimatizing people to
a virtual world, and developing detailed psychological profiles of every user, among many other Pentagon
positives. But, one problem with the current internet is the potential for the dissemination of ideas and information
not consistent with US government themes and messages, commonly known as free speech. Naturally, since the
plan was to completely dominate the "infosphere," the internet would have to be adjusted or replaced with an
upgraded and even more Pentagon friendly successor...In an article by Paul Joseph Watson of Prison Planet.com,
he describes the emergence of Internet 2. "The development of "Internet 2" is also designed to create an online
caste system whereby the old Internet hubs would be allowed to break down and die, forcing people to use the
new taxable, censored and regulated world wide web. If you're struggling to comprehend exactly what the
Internet will look like in five years unless we resist this, just look at China and their latest efforts to
completely eliminate dissent and anonymity on the web."...'

'Israelis Told To Prepare 'Rocket Rooms; For War'
'Retired senior officers told Israelis on Saturday to prepare "rocket rooms" as protection against a rain of missiles
expected to be fired at the Jewish state in any future conflict. Speaking on radio as part of a military propaganda
offensive, retired general Udi Shani said: "The next war will see a massive use of ballistic weapons
against the whole of Israeli territory."...'

Rense.com: 'Middle East Undersea Cable Cutting A Zionist-NeoCon Covert Operation?'
'...As it happens, the U.S. Navy has for decades had special operations teams that go out on submarines and
deploy undersea, on the seabed itself, specifically for cutting or tapping communications cables. The U.S.
Navy divers go out through special airlocks and use very sophisticated equipment. This has all been thoroughly
documented in the excellent book, Blind Man's Bluff: The Untold Story of American Submarine Espionage, by
Sherry Sontag and Christopher Drew (New York: Public Affairs, 1998). For the uninitiated it seems bizarre and
unlikely, but the plain fact of the matter is that American military divers really go out onto the seabed from
special submarines outfitted with airlocks and they actually cut undersea communications cables-- then patch in
sophisticated surveillance equipment -- then they splice the cables back together. That is if the motive is
espionage. If the purpose of the operation is garden variety sabotage, then simply cutting the cable suffices.
It's like something out of a spy novel thriller, but the U.S. Navy really does have submarines and deep diving,
special operations personnel who specialize in precisely this sort of operation. So cutting a few undersea
cables in two or three days is well within the operational capabilities of the United States Navy. Couple
this little known, but very important fact, with the reality that for years now we have seen more and more
ham-handed interference with the global communications grid by the American alphabet soup (NSA, CIA,
FBI, HoSec) and major tel-comms. Would the tel-comms and the American military and alphabet soup
agencies collude on an operation that had as its aim to sabotage the Iranian communications network,
even if that entailed collateral damage to other countries in the region? The honest answer has to be:
sure, maybe so. Who can really tell? I mean, after all, we are living in a bizarro world now, a world of
big and bigger lies, a world of 24/7 propaganda, a world of irrational and violent policies enacted against
the civilian population by multinational corporations and military and espionage agencies the world over.
We see the evidence for this on every hand. Only the most myopic among us remain oblivious to these
realities. In light of the American Navy's demonstrated sea-floor capabilities and espionage activities,
the heavy American Navy presence in the region, and the many veiled threats against Iran by both the
Americans and the Israelis, suspicion naturally falls on them both. It may be that this is what the beginning
of a war against Iran looks like. Or maybe we are merely seeing a dry run, a practice run, for a planned,
upcoming war against Iran. The cables that have been cut are among the largest communication pipes
in the region, and clearly represent major strategic targets...'

Khaleej Times, UAE: 'Ships Did Not Cause Internet Cable Damage'
'Damage to undersea Internet cables in the Mediterranean that hit business across the Middle East and South
Asia was not caused by ships, Egypt's communications ministry said on Sunday, ruling out earlier reports. The
transport ministry added that footage recorded by onshore video cameras of the location of the cables showed
no maritime traffic in the area when the cables were damaged. ‘The ministry's maritime transport committee
reviewed footage covering the period of 12 hours before and 12 hours after the cables were cut and no ships
sailed the area,' a statement said. ‘The area is also marked on maps as a no-go zone and it is therefore ruled
out that the damage to the cables was caused by ships,' the statement added. Two cables were damaged earlier
this week in the Mediterranean sea and another off the coast of Dubai, causing widespread disruption to Internet
and international telephone services in Egypt, Gulf Arab states and South Asia. A fourth cable linking Qatar to
the United Arab Emirates was damaged on Sunday causing yet more disruptions, telecommunication provider
Qtel said. Earlier reports said that the damage had been caused by ships that had been diverted off their usual
route because of bad weather. Egypt's communication and information technology ministry said it would report
its findings to the owners of the two damaged Mediterranean cables, FLAG Telecom and SEA-ME-WE4. A
repair ship was expected to begin work to fix the two Mediterranean cables on Tuesday.'

Wikipedia: 'USS Jimmy Carter (SSN-23)'
'...Carter is roughly 100 feet (30 m) longer than the other two ships of her class. This is due to the insertion of
a section known as the Multi-Mission Platform (MMP), which allows launch and recovery of ROVs and Navy
SEAL forces. The plug features a fairing over a wasp-waist shaped passageway allowing crew to pass between
the fore and aft sections of the hull while providing a space to store ROVs and special equipment that may need
to launch and recover from the submarine. The MMP may also be used as an underwater splicing chamber for
tapping of undersea fiber optic cables...'

DEBKAfile, Israel: 'Iran Extends Submarine Range To Hit Tel Aviv And U.S. Mediterranean Targets'
'DEBKAfile's military sources report the Iranian Navy is in the process of deploying two submarine fleets - mini-subs
in Persian Gulf waters for attacks on US shipping and Gulf oil facilities, and the long-range Kilo class sub of Russian,
Chinese and home manufacture, for long-range targets in the Mediterranean, such as the US Sixth Fleet and Israel
coastal towns, primarily Tel Aviv...Tehran has developed a new capability to deploy in the Mediterranean Kilo class
submarines armed with the Russian-made 'Sizzler' Klub-S (3M54) missile. This missile can be shot from underwater
at a range of 300 kilometers and has a powerful 450-kilogram warhead. It is launched from the submarine's 533mm
(21 inch) torpedo tubes. This possibility was outlined by an authoritative Iranian security figure, the spokesman-cum-
commentator at Iran's defense ministry, Gen. Reza Naghdi, on Nov. 12. He said that if Iran were attacked, its navy
- and its submarine fleet in particular - could come close enough to "reach an Israeli coastal target" from the sea.
Iran's submarine fleet consists of 6 Kilo class craft, of which only three or four are serviceable. Another 12 submarines
of the same class are on order from China, but there is no information that any of them has entered service or even
been delivered...The Revolutionary Guards Corps is known to have built a large fleet of mini-subs and special marine
units equipped with fast boats for deployment in the Persian Gulf. They might partly free up the larger Kilo subs for
this option...The Kilo class submarine's displacement is up to 4,000 tons submerged. It is 74 meters long, has a
maximum speed of up to 30 knots surfaced, diving depth of 300 meters and range of more than 12,100 km. The Kilo
carries a crew of 52 sailors and, depending on the type, is armed with six to eight 533 mm torpedo tubes, 24 mines
and air defense missiles. The Kilo submarines' quiet engines enable them to appear and disappear like wraiths,
winning them the name of Black Hole from the US Navy.'

'Potential Casualties If The U.S. Attacks Iran'
'...they have three Kilo class Russian submarines. They are very deadly in shallow water, basically, our anti-submarine
warfare forces probably won't find them until after they have shot. We have two attack subs in the Gulf, but our boats
are too big for shallow water, they don't maneuver well, and their sonar ability is degraded by all the noise of a shallow
bottom...So let us say that we bomb Iran, and they shut down the Gulf. The supply situation of our troops will quickly
become critical. The first reaction would be to pull all units inside large bases. There will not be enough fuel to support
all those local outposts that have been established. Most US supply will come from Turkey or by air. Look at the map
again. It is a long way to fly to Iraq from anywhere. And I do not think we can count on being able to stage aircraft
through any bases in Pakistan in a serious way, the Afghan bases are full up just supporting that war, Incilkik air base
in Turkey will be swamped, and we only have enough capacity to supply one third of our troops by air anyway. Airpower is
a huge US advantage, but in this scenario we're no longer be able to supply enough fuel to maintain air support. Remember,
we will be flying everything in, including aviation fuel. The only air support will come from Turkey, (if Turkey is willing)
or carriers in the Med. And they will have to overfly Syria or Jordan. What will those countries say to that? Oh, and don't
forget, the Iranians are lobbing missiles into US installations, and the Shia close the roads and isolate US installations,
and Iran lets anti air shoulder fired missiles into Iraq, something they have not done up to this point. We are not going
to supply our troops by air at a survivable level...We would be in slow strangulation, but the end result would be that we
would be forced to leave Iraq. ...If the Turks allow US troops to pass though Turkish territory, probably most will be able
to evacuate through there. But most will have to walk. Since over a year ago, there have not been enough vehicles to
equip all units in Iraq. Two or three battalions share one battalion sets of vehicles...The US retreat will have to be in a
series of Kessels. Kessel is a German word meaning cauldron, or large kettle. It refers to German formations on the East
front in Russia in WWII, who, surrounded by Soviet advances, would fight their way out. The troops on the west end
toward the German lines would fight the breakout battles, troops on the east end would be the rear guard, and the
northern and southern units would protect the flanks. All the wounded and supply would be in the middle. In such an
operation, the ability of the US to supply air support would be minimal, as I have said the only reliable air support would
be though the Med over flying Jordan or Syria. Bombers from Diego Garcia would need air to air refueling, and so would
any aircraft dropping supplies on the Kessels making their way out. It would be nasty little infantry fights all the way. by
this method, Kessel extraction through Turkey, we could probably evacuate 50% to 80% of our troops in Iraq. The troops
in Bahrain and Qatar would be mostly lost. The percentage of losses among contractors would be much higher. If Turkey
closed the border to Americans, the best bet would be to try to fight through the Syrians, and get picked up by the
US Navy on the Syrian coast. Don't try the Turks if they are hostile. By this way, we might get 30% out...'

HERE IT COMES?
A Convenient, Contrived Israeli Pretext For War? 'You Attack Our Nuclear Reactor, We'll Attack Yours?'
'Islamic Iran Terror Murders 3 In Dimona, Israel - Reactor Unharmed'
'February 4, 2008: An Islamic suicide bomber blew himself up in the southern Israel town of Dimona. The terror attack
murdered at least three people and wounded forty. Dimona, is the location of Israel's nuclear reactor. The blast did not
occur at the reactor site but rather miles away. The suicide terror bombing was carried out by two attackers, according
to Israel security sources. "One terrorist succeeded in detonating his explosives. The other terrorist was killed by a police
officer from an elite unit seconds before he could detonate himself," a security source told the Israel News Agency. "These
terrorists struck at innocent civilians in a poverty struck desert town. They has no chance of getting near the Dimona
reactor, not by foot, not by air or any other means. Dimona is one of the most secure places in the world. Islamic terrorists
are trying to develop nuclear weapons in Iran for their stated purpose of "wiping Israel off the map." They have not and
will not succeed." The Israel emergency medica service, Magen David Adom had ambulances taking the wounded to
Soroka Hospital in Beersheba. "Many believe that the attack on Jewish civilians in Dimona was the result of Iranian spin
and public relations to place media focus on Israel's defense rather than Iran's illegal production of nuclear weapons and
open declaration to "wipe Israel off the map". Rosa Elberg, a resident of the town, said that the terror bomber detonated
his explosives inside a cafe'. "It is like a war, people are running like crazy," she told Israel TV Channel 2. "I didn't see
anyone suspicious. I heard a boom and my ears are still ringing." Another eyewitness told Israel Radio that many people
were at the commercial center at the time because of the sunny weather. The Negev Nuclear Research Center is an Israel
nuclear installation located in the Negev desert, about twenty kilometers to the south of the city of Dimona. Construction
of the Dimona reactor took place in 1958, with French assistance according to the secret Protocol of Se`vres agreements.
The complex was constructed in secret, and outside the International Atomic Energy Agency inspection regime. The purpose
of Dimona is for the peaceful production of electricity although many have Dimona to be the manufacturing plant of nuclear
weapons
. The Israel government refuses to confirm or deny that Dimona has over 200 nuclear weapons at the ready to
defend Israel. In 1986, Mordechai Vanunu, a former technician at Dimona, revealed to the media some alleged evidence
of Israel's nuclear program
. Israel agents allegedly abducted Vanunu from Italy and transported him to Israel. An Israel court
then tried him in secret on charges of treason and espionage, and sentenced him to eighteen years imprisonment. At the
time of Vanunu's arrest, The Times reported that Israel had material for approximately 20 hydrogen bombs and 200 fission
bombs
. Shalom Bar Avi, a journalist who spoke to Israel TV Channel 10, stated: "I am here no longer as a journalist but as
a simple citizen. I pray and hope my wife is okay." Bar Avi praised the police's quick response to the attack, and said the
officer who identified the second attacker shot "four or five times, he took no chances." The Jerusalem Brigades of Islamic
Jihad claimed responsibility for the attack, confirming in its statement that the terrorists entered Israel through the Sinai
desert, but several minutes later several organizations, including Hamas and Fatah, also claimed responsibility. Palestinian
news agency of Maan reported that a spokesman for al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades of Fatah confirmed during a phone interview
with Maan that his group was behind the blast. Israel has been on alert against terror attacks since the Hamas terror group
in Gaza breached the border with Egypt on January 23. The breach made the Negev, where Dimona is located, more vulnerable
to penetration by Palestinian terrorists who could enter through the Sinai. Egypt security forces yesterday resealed the only
remaining gap on the Egypt side of the border fences with barbed wire and metal barricades, ending the nearly two-week-long
Gaza border breaches crisis. "No one can reach the reactor at Dimona, Israel," said an Israel security source. "Not even the
Prime Minister or Defense Minister can visit without special security clearance by several domestic security organizations. So
Islamic terrorists searched for soft targets as they have in the past - Israel men, women and children. Our security forces
were prepared for such an attack and for this reason the second suicide bomber never had a chance of harming more innocent
people." "Monday's terror attack gives us a painful reminder that we must be vigilant and maintain our readiness in all areas,"
Israel Prime Minister Ehud Olmert said hours after a 20-year-old woman was killed and 38 people were wounded, one critically,
in a suicide bombing in the Dimona commercial center. "We are waging a war on terror. It is continuing without bounds and
we will get to everyone involved in terror activity," said Olmert during a Kadima faction meeting. Many believe that the attack
on Jewish civilians in Dimona was the result of Iran spin and public relations to place media focus on Israel's defense rather
than Iran's illegal production of nuclear weapons and open declaration to "wipe Israel off the map". Iran accused France
yesterday of adopting an “unfriendly” position in Tehran's nuclear arrogance with the West. The Iran Foreign Ministry
summoned the French Ambassador to Tehran, Bernard Poletti, in an apparent tit-for-tat response after Paris called in the
Iranian envoy last week over anti-Israel remarks made by its hardline President, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. At a time when
Iraq and the war on terrorism tend to dominate the debate on international affairs, the possibility of an attack on Iran's
nuclear facilities
has become a major topic of discussion in the United States. There are reports that the Bush administration
is seriously considereding this option. In Israel, planning appears to have progressed quite a bit further as it appears that
some in Israel are seriously considering a preemptive attack similar to the June 1981 attack on Osirak that destroyed Iraq's
nuclear reactor. Meir Dagan, the Chief of Mossad, told parliament members in his inaugural appearance before the Israel
Knesset Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee that Iran was close to the "point of no return" and that the specter of Iran
possession of nuclear weapons was the greatest threat to Israel since its inception.'

'IAF Train Intensively For Iran Strike With Mini-Nukes'
'The Israel Air Force is training for a tactical nuclear strike on Iranian nuclear production facilities. The IAF is practicing for a
mission to destroy key Iranian facilities, at least one with low-yield nuclear munitions, the Times of London reported. Citing
"several Israeli sources," the Times said that two IAF squadrons are training to blow up an Iranian facility using a combination
of precision laser bombs and low-yield nuclear "bunker-busters". The Times report was supplemented by one from Fox News.
The attack would be the first with nuclear weapons since 1945, when the United States dropped atomic bombs on the Japanese
cities Hiroshima and Nagasaki. The Israeli weapons would each have a force equivalent to one-fifteenth of the Hiroshima bomb,
the Times said. Under the plans, the report said, conventional laser-guided bombs would open shafts into the targets. Then the
"mini-nukes" would then be fired into a plant at Natanz, exploding deep underground to reduce the risk of radioactive fallout.
"As soon as the green light is given, it will be one mission, one strike and the Iranian nuclear project will be demolished," said
one of the sources. Israeli intelligence recently announced that Iran is on the verge of producing enough enriched uranium
to make nuclear weapons by 2009. Meir Dagan, head of Mossad, the Israeli intelligence service, told the Knesset, Israel's
parliament, also believes that the Iranians will have a complete nuclear device by 2009. Israel has identified three prime targets
south of Tehran believed to be central to Iran's nuclear program, the Times reported: Natanz, where thousands of centrifuges
are being installed for uranium enrichment; A uranium conversion facility near Isfahan, and a heavy water reactor at Arak.
Ephraim Sneh, the former deputy Israeli defense minister, said last month: "The time is approaching when Israel and the
international community will have to decide whether to take military action against Iran." But he lamented that "At the end of
the day it is always down to the Jews to deal with the problem." The United States has described a strike against Iranian targets
as a "last resort", leading Israelis to believe that it will be left to the IAF to strike. The Times, citing Israeli sources, said Israeli
pilots have flown to Gibraltar in recent weeks to train for the 2,000-mile round trip to the Iranian targets. The report said
that the air force squadrons are based at Hatzerim in the Negev desert and Tel Nof, south of Tel Aviv, under the personal
supervision of Major General Eliezer Shkedy, commander of the Israeli Air Force, training to use Israel's arsenal of tactical
nuclear weapons on the mission. The Israelis believe that Iran's expected retaliation "would be constrained by fear of an
Israeli second strike." The leak of a possible nuclear option by Israel may be intentional, US analysts have said. "In the
cold war, we made it clear to the Russians that it was a virtual certainty that nukes would fly and fly early," said an
American defense source. "Israel may be adopting the same tactics: 'You produce a weapon; you die'."...'

Jerusalem Post: 'Thinking The Unthinkable: An Iranian Second Strike'
'...If the US or Israel bombs Iran's nuclear facilities, can Iran strike back at Israel with weapons of mass destruction?
This is obviously a vital question to answer before deciding whether to use the "military option." Unfortunately, there
is no one conclusive answer...if Iran decided to strike back at Israel with its worst weapons - missiles armed with plague,
anthrax, nerve gas or other catastrophic substances - and Israel failed to wipe them out on the ground or in the air, the
effect of even one of those missiles landing, says Shoham, would be "bad." Asked what he means by "bad," he declines
to elaborate, saying, "I don't want to terrify the readers."...A lot has been written and said about the dangers of a nuclear
armed Iran and about the possibility of bombing its nuclear facilities out of existence. Much less, however, has been written
and said about the dangers of such a preemptive strike. However, this is starting to change. On the eve of his trip to the
US to meet with Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice at the beginning of June, Transportation Minister Shaul Mofaz, a
former chief of General Staff and defense minister, gave an interview to Yediot Aharonot in which he warned of the possible
"destructive consequences" of a US attack on Iran. "An American attack, Mofaz tells close associates, is liable to set the
entire Middle East ablaze and cause incalculable damage to Israel's population...In an interview with The Jerusalem Post,
Mofaz warned: "The potential for a regional escalation as a result of [a preemptive] attack is great"...the more Shihab-3
missiles the Iranians fire in a single volley, the harder it would be for the Arrow to take them out. "If the Iranians fire one
a day, the Arrow could intercept all of them. If they fire their missiles all at once, some could get through," says Shapir,
and Kam agrees. The usefulness of Israelis' personal defensive measures - gas masks and sealed security rooms - has
never been tested against an actual WMD attack because there has never been one here. Over the years, there have
been a litany of problems with the gas masks, Shoham notes, while adding that these problems are solvable. Assuming
the gas masks were in perfect working order and distributed to all Israelis in time, they could, theoretically, defend
against a poison gas attack. However, many biological agents such as anthrax and VX enter through the skin, so in
such cases gas masks would be of no use. A privately-purchased protective suit could be effective, but outfitting all
7 million Israelis is not in the cards. And if anthrax, bubonic plague, botulism, nerve agents or the like were loosed
among Israel's population, it's highly speculative whether, or for how long, people could survive wearing gas masks
or even protective suits inside their sealed rooms...'

'Revealing Deliberate Deceptions: A Truthout Interview With Daniel Ellsberg'
'Daniel Ellsberg, perhaps the country's most famous whistleblower, fears that before the Bush administration leaves
office they will try to attack Iran. Indeed, Ellsberg's argument gained merit as George W. Bush increased his rhetoric
against Iran when he delivered his final State of the Union Address. Bush accused Iran of training militia extremists
in Iraq, and emphasized the US will confront its enemies...The recent announcement in December by the National
Intelligence Estimate (NIE) revealed, counter to the president's claims, Iran did not have an active nuclear program.
This was unexpected, says Ellsberg. The administration had said, weeks before this release, they had no intention
of putting out NIE summaries, Ellsberg says. However, the information was released because, according to newspaper
reports, there was the threat of leaks: "As one news story put it, intelligence officials were lined up to go to jail, if
the administration did not release those findings," says Ellsberg, emphasizing his creed in the need to take risks for
the sake of revealing truth. "I wish I could say it made an attack on Iran zero, and it hasn't, but it has reduced it and
confirms, in my opinion, the power of being willing to risk prosecution, willing to give up your career, your clearance,
which these people would have done if they'd put that information out - and the mere threat was enough to get it out
in this case," emphasizes Ellsberg. Ellsberg says Bush will simply find a different pretext from the nuclear program.
"After all, it was about a year ago that he really stopped pressing the nuclear program as the main reason to start
attacking Iran and start talking about what they were doing against US forces in Iraq," says Ellsberg, who claims
people in the military have recently undercut this statement by saying there is no evidence of Iran's involvement
against US forces in Iraq. Bush could also use an incident that is blamed on Iran as a means to begin a war with
them...The American public, and media in general, have not picked up on the urgency surrounding a pending war
with Iran, Ellsberg says. For over two years, Sy Hersh and others have been writing detailed articles stating
operational plans against Iran are being updated to the minute, so that within hours or a day
they can be implemented....'

Capitol Hill Blue, Virginia: 'The REAL Reason We Are In Iraq'
'As sad as it may seem, rather than an abject failure, I'm now beginning to believe that Bush and his cabal's plans
in the Middle East have actually been a resounding success from their point of view. For their apparent collective
"stupidity" has resulted in continued turmoil in the Middle East, which, in turn, allows the Government of Israel to
continue its decades of racism, apartheid and hegemony in the region. What's more, Mr. Bush's, continued failure
to "win the peace" in Iraq and Afghanistan has virtually guaranteed that our troops will now be there for decades.
All of which is EXACTLY what the Government of Israel wants. For decades, the Government of Israel has had both
our Presidents AND our members of the US Congress by the short hairs. Organizations like AIPAC (backed up by the
ruthless scare tactics of the Israeli Mossad operating within our borders) have made absolutely sure of that. This, in
turn, means that NONE of what the US is now fighting for in Iraq or Afghanistan has anything to do with finding
weapons of mass destruction, bringing "democracy" to nations whose people haven't a clue as to what that word
means, protecting our own "national security", or even lowering the price of oil (or controlling its flow). Rather, I
firmly believe our continued presence in Iraq and Afghanistan has everything to do with keeping the developing
Moslem world in the Middle East a constant state of turmoil so as to underwrite and enable the Government of
Israel's obsessive need to expand both its borders and its influence in the region. The Government of Israel's
shameful performance in southern Lebanon in 2006 and it's ongoing blockade of the Gaza strip…all the while
dropping cluster bombs and anti-personnel munitions on civilian targets…should leave absolutely NO doubt in
anyone's mind as to exactly what the Israeli Government's real intentions are. What's more, these ongoing "holy
wars" also guarantee that billions and billions of your and my tax dollars will continue flowing into the coffers of
the hopelessly corrupt US defense contractors along with their various lobbyists and "think tanks" (not to mention
keeping all those campaign contributions flowing into Presidential and Congressional campaign coffers from the
now-fully-employed defense constituencies "back home"!). It's a win-win for everyone. That is, of course, except
for the beleaguered US taxpayer and our brave (mostly young) soldiers who are giving their very lives to
underwrite such blatant apartheid, shameful collusion and systemic government corruption...'

'The CIA's 'Operation Gladio' - Death Plan For Democracy'
'In late January 2008, a secret paramilitary group (formerly?) allied with America was busted in Turkey. Thirteen
members of a shadowy right-wing group in Turkey were charged with "forming an armed terrorist group in order
to provoke members of the public into armed revolt against the government."...The use of proxy mercenary forces
to terrorize nations into submitting to US political demands has been the cornerstone of American foreign policy
since at least the era of the Berlin Wall, and it still is...In Europe, the American government actively sought to
eliminate political opposition to its fascist world plans through the use of open violent repression and covert
terroristic "false flag" attacks upon popular patriotic resistance movements and their leaders. Using ultra right
-wing homegrown fascists, in both Europe and America, secret paramilitary militias were created, called "Stay
Behind" forces at the end of World War II. Since then, the CIA activated these groups to successfully quash
anti-American liberal and social democratic popular resistance movements. The agency denies this, but the series
of exposes of their network in Europe since 1990 have proven the professed denials to be false...The secret plans
for Europe entailed large covert paramilitary units in every NATO nation, that were trained and ready to suppress
all anti-American protests by liberals and social democrats. The official name of the covert programs was "Gladio."
The official cover story (and its original purpose) was that these right-wing paramilitary units were "Stay Behind"
forces, which were created as copies of the French "underground" resistance, to be activated upon a Soviet
conquest and occupation of Europe. The Stay Behind/Gladio forces saw a change of mission in the sixties, when
the European socialist/liberal alliance began to awaken strong nationalist movements in every NATO country. The
Timewatch investigation documents the secret formation of these neo-fascist units throughout Europe, highlighting
individual local leaders and their personal testimony about participating in armed attacks upon government armories
and supermarkets, as well as terror bombings, like the bomb that was detonated at Bologna's train station, killing 85
and wounded over 200. Other revelations from the video about the operation include a damning investigation of
Gladio by the European Union, interviews with key Gladio players like neocon Michael Ledeen, shadowy Iran/Contra
figures Gen. John Singlaub, CIA spokesmen like former Director William Colby and Ray Cline, as well as pivotal
controversial documentation on secret Army participation. In contradiction of CIA denials about the true purpose of
Gladio and the scope of its operations and neoconservative lies that there was no Gladio, the following excerpt, from
joint resolution (EP 22.11.90) of the European Parliament condemns actions of US and allied intelligence agencies
involved: "Whereas in certain Member States military secret services (or uncontrolled branches thereof) were involved
in serious cases of terrorism and crime as evidenced by, various judicial inquiries... these organizations operated and
continue to operate completely outside the law...whereas the various `GLADIO' organizations have at their disposal
independent arsenals and military resources which give them an unknown strike potential, thereby jeopardizing the
democratic structures of the countries in which they are operating or have been operating..."...The brainwashing
science possessed by the government and applied through its foundations and institutes (such as Rand, Ford, Carnegie,
Stanford and Tavistock Institute) dwarfs the alleged manipulative powers of any imagined conspiracy. This proved to
be extremely successful, especially when combined with spectacular fear producing terror attacks. In truth, mind
control science
, developed and implemented since World War II...is all CIA. With the rise of former CIA director
George Bush to the position of "vice president elect," (and their "October surprise" obtained with a purloined speech
prep book for the great debate) the agency began to apply those behavioral control techniques of Gladio to the political
process...The Gladio-centered US foreign policy, which was so successfully played-out in Europe, effectively countered
the Soviet expansion at a high cost to European democracy. The application of that policy to Islamic countries facing
a Soviet threat, such as Afghanistan, helped to roll-back the Soviets, but at a terrible cost. The training of Islamic
paramilitary forces to carry-out terror attacks for political reasons, evolved into the unfolding nightmare known as the
war on terror. In Afghanistan, the CIA armed, trained and supported Islamic "Gladios" who carried-out Brzezenski's
plans for staging terrorist attacks upon popular local Afghan tribal leaders, as a means to instigate the widespread tribal
warfare which eventually lured the Soviets to intervene in December 1979...'

'How An Iranian 'Oil Bourse' Threatens The American Empire'
...Iran's planned oil bourse threatens not only Bush's simplistic view of the world, it strikes at the the coffers of "big
oil". Isolated by mysteriously cut internet cables, Iran - if it is not nuked - will this month begin trading oil in currencies
other than the dollar...the US empire will collapse when the dollar collapses...Certainly, when oil is no longer traded
in dollars, it is not only the dollar that will collapse. It means that the US --on the bad end of a huge balance of trade
deficit --will no longer be able to afford to import goods or services. For a nation that long ago...gave up its role as a
manufacturing nation, this collapse will be monumental, catastrophic. The fact that oil had been traded in dollars was
the only thing propping up the dollar. That there was a demand for dollars because there was a demand for oil meant
that you could continue to buy imported goods with dollars. Now --imagine a world in which no other country need
"purchase" dollars in order to import oil! What if oil producing nations agree to accept other currencies? What if they
refuse to accept dollars? Go to Wal-Mart or even your local supermarket. Almost everything on the shelves is imported.
Imagine a shop owner refusing to accept in payment your worthless dollars in payment for anything in the shop! As Gore
Vidal pointed out, the US empire ended in the eighties, when the US became a net debtor nation. GOP regimes since
have only made the situation worse. Just as empire became the business of Rome, empire had become the "business"
of the US which no longer produces enough to employ its population let alone export to the rest of the world. Most US
consumer goods are imported from China, sold in Warl-Mart, discarded in America. America's best days are over.
We live in the twilight of empire.'

The U.S. Press Continues Its Coverup Of Sibel Edmonds' Astonishing 'Nuclear Treason' Allegations,
-The White House Begins To Panic, And Tries To Retroactively 'Legitimize' These Crimes Through The Back Door...
'White House In Panic Over Sibel Edmonds?'
'...Sixteen days after the UK Times' published a blockbuster article, 'For Sale: West's Deadly Nuclear Secrets',
about how certain top US government officials were enabling Turkish and Israeli interests in supplying the nuclear
black market, President Bush quietly announced on Tuesday that he wants Congress to approve sales of nuclear
technology to Turkey. Is this a reaction to the Times article? It sure looks like it. I wouldn't be surprised if we soon
start hearing about retroactive immunity for the guilty parties, just as we are seeing in the illegal spying case currently
in the Senate. As always happens in this case, the silence in the US media is deafening. Two years ago, Bush's efforts
to sell nuclear technology prompted much "indignation and furor," but not a single major US media outlet has yet
reported the proposed deal with Turkey. Agence France-Presse put out a report on its wires which has been picked
up around the world, but that's about it...'

'Talking Nuclear Turkey'
'You wouldn't know it from the American press, but President Bush just cleared the way for a nuclear cooperation
agreement with Turkey that had been on ice since 2000, submitting it to Congress for approval on Wednesday. The
deal, signed under the Clinton administration, had been stalled by a subsequent finding that certain Turkish "private
entities" posed a proliferation threat. That threat has been addressed by Turkey, according to President Bush in his
message accompanying the bill to Congress. This is a very significant move, part of a larger initiative I've written
about before, designed to help Turkey secure its energy supply, and to keep it from slipping further out of the West's
sphere of influence and into energy-based tactical alliances with Russia and Iran. The nuclear angle will become
even more central to that effort given the difficulties encountered in moving the EU's Nabucco pipeline project forward.
The deal does not allow for the transfer of sensitive technology or data, and the Secretaries of State and Energy as
well as the Nuclear Regulatory Commission all signed off on the updated Nuclear Proliferation Assessment Statement
(NPAS). Still, the timing of the Bush administration's announcement seems suspect, coming as it does on the heels of
a meeting between President Bush and Turkish President Abdullah Gul where energy policy figured prominently, as
well as on the eve of Turkey's call for tenders for the construction of its first reactor. It also comes in the immediate
aftermath of Sibel Edmonds' accusations, reported widely in the English and Turkish press but ignored Stateside, that
Turkey was the longstanding beneficiary of nuclear secrets funneled out of Washington...'

'Why Bush Wants To Legalize The Nuke Trade With Turkey'
'..What "private entities" the Press Release refers to is not clear, but it could well include the American Turkish Council,
the "entity" revealed in the Times article. The Bushites seem to be covering their own exposed backsides, for the timing
of Bush's call to sell nuke secrets to Turkey is certainly suspicious, if not overtly conspicuous. It appears the White House
has been spooked by Edmonds and hopes to absolve the U.S. officials allegedly involved in the illegal sale of nuclear
technology to private Turkish "entities"...Totally complicit in the nuke trade, the U.S. government, according to Edmonds,
has known of the expansive criminal activities of these foreign nations' presence in the States, which has included all sorts
of illegal activities like drug trafficking, espionage and money laundering...'

'The Big Fix: Bushists Seek To Legalize the Nuke Black Market'
'..According to the late Israeli scholar Israel Shahak: "...massive involvement of Israeli Intelligence in drug trafficking must
be well known to (and is probably approved by) its American opposite numbers. Ample precedents for that exist. ... It can
therefore be tentatively presumed that in its encouragement of drug traffic and traffickers, as in much else, Israel acts as
a proxy executor of the American will. This would at least partly explain why this policy works. -- Israel Shahak, 'Open
Secrets: Israeli Nuclear and Foreign Policies' [London: Pluto Press, 1997] p. 121." Precisely as Sibel Edmonds has
described regarding the drug trafficking angle of the nuclear proliferation network'

...And Bush Quickly Brings Neocon Paul Wolfowitz Back On Board!
'Paul Wolfowitz To Advise On Arms Control For Bush'
'Paul Wolfowitz has been appointed a high-level adviser on arms control to the Bush administration, dealing with
issues such as Iran and North Korea. The appointment of the former head of the World Bank to the International
Security Advisory Board will once again give one of Mr Bush's hawkish proponents of the Iraq war an official
channel to the administration. The panel's duty is to supply independent advice on arms control, disarmament,
non-proliferation< and related subjects..'

Daily Kos: 'Leading Neocon Was Part Of The (Alleged) Spy Ring Sibel Edmonds Discovered?'
(This is a major story, with lots of links, so you're recommended to read it in full)
But 'Those In The Know' Continue Steadfast In Their Support Of Sibel Edmonds...
'Interview: Ex-CIA Agent, Phil Giraldi, On Sibel Edmonds' Allegations'
'...Giraldi, who is familiar with how these things work, says: "(A)s a translator (she) would have worked very closely
with the FBI supervising officers to try to figure out what these transcripts meant. So the argument that she only saw
these 'bits' is not really true, she would have been very interactive in terms of the people running these operations and
she would have found out a lot more." Giraldi makes another good point. None of the guilty parties identified in the case
have gone out of their way to exonerate their good names..."I'm wondering why, if these people are innocent, they aren't
making a more serious effort to demonstrate that they are." Giraldi also debunks the 'she uncovered a sting operation'
idea that has started floating around lately, after 5 years: "And the other argument that keeps getting trotted out, is that
Grossman and all these other people might have been part of some sting operation back in 2001, 2002. Well, first of all
a sting operation back in 2001, 2002 that has been pretty much exposed in the media in the subsequent six years is not
something that you would necessarily have to hide. You could say 'Look, they were involved in doing the finest, highest
level work for the US government' - they could say something like that to make this story go away, but they haven't done
that. And I assure you, as a CIA officer, that the agency would never have used the number 3 person at State Dept as a
person in a sting operation. The State Dept would never have permitted it, and the agency would never have even
conceived of it, so the whole argument that this was some kind of sophisticated scam to sting the A.Q. Khan network or
something like that is ridiculous." Then there's this: "See the point is that she's been gagged, and think about what the
gag means. The gag means that the government is trying to suppress classified information that she has. That means
that they believe that what she is saying is true."...'

The London 'Sunday Times' Masterfully Continues Scooping The Timid, Silent U.S. Press On This Major Story...
UPDATE! 'Mole's Tip-Off Thwarted Nuclear Spy Ring Probe'
'An investigation into the illicit sale of American nuclear secrets was compromised by a senior official in the State
Department, a former FBI employee has claimed. The official is said to have tipped off a foreign contact about a bogus
CIA company used to investigate the sale of nuclear secrets. The firm, Brewster Jennings & Associates, was a front for
Valerie Plame, the former CIA agent. Her public outing two years later in 2003 by White House officials became a cause
celebre. The claims that a State Department official blew the investigation into a nuclear smuggling ring have been made
by Sibel Edmonds, 38, a former Turkish language translator in the FBI's Washington field office...Her latest claims relate
to a number of intercepted recordings believed to have been made between the summer and autumn of 2001. At that time,
foreign agents were actively attempting to acquire the West's nuclear secrets and technology. Among the buyers were
Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI), Pakistan's intelligence agency, which was working with Abdul Qadeer Khan, the 'father
of the Islamic bomb', who in turn was selling nuclear technology to rogue states such as Libya...Brewster Jennings was
one of a number of covert enterprises set up to infiltrate the nuclear ring. It is is believed to have been based in Boston
and consisted of little more than a name, a telephone number and a post office box address...The FBI was monitoring
Turkish diplomatic and political figures based in Washington who were allegedly working with the Israelis and using
'moles' in military and academic institutions to acquire nuclear secrets. The creation of this nuclear ring had been
assisted, Edmonds says, by the senior official in the State Department who she heard in one conversation arranging to
pick up a $15,000 bribe. One group of Turkish agents who had come to America on the pretext of researching alternative
energy sources was introduced to Brewster Jennings through the Washington-based American Turkish Council (ATC), a
lobby group that aids commercial ties between the countries. Edmonds says the Turks believed Brewster Jennings to be
energy consultants and were planning to hire them. But she said: "He [the State Department official] found out about the
arrangement...and he contacted one of the foreign targets and said...you need to stay away from Brewster Jennings
because they are a cover for the government. The target...immediately followed up by calling several people to warn
them about Brewster Jennings. At least one of them was at the ATC. This person also called an ISI person to warn them."
If the ISI was made aware of the CIA front company, then this would almost certainly have damaged the investigation into
the activities of Khan...It would be more than two years before Khan was forced to admit he had been selling nuclear
weapons technology to Libya, Iran and North Korea...Phillip Giraldi, a former CIA officer, said:..."If indeed that [State
Department] official was working with the Turks to violate US law on nuclear exports, it would have been in his interest
to alert them to the fact that this woman's company was affiliated to the CIA. I don't know if that's
treason legally but many people would consider it to be."...'

'UK Times: Brewster Jennings Outed By 'Treasonous' U.S. Government Official In 2001, Not 2003'
'...Significantly, since the Times began this series three weeks ago, the White House has quietly moved to legalize the
sale of nuclear technonlogy to Turkey in an apparent attempt to 'Exonerate Neocon Criminals' who have been illegally
selling this technology for a decade. Congress has 90 days to block this legislation, otherwise it becomes law. If Turkey
wants and deserves nuclear technology, this decision should be made openly and transparently, not the result of stealth
decisions made by this administration to hide crimes of senior U.S. officials. We need public open hearings to determine
which officials have been supplying the nuclear black market before this becomes law.'

'Sibel, Nukes, And Covering Ass'
'...the Bush administration is pressing Congress for approval of sales of nuclear technology to Turkey...NPAS stands for
nuclear proliferation assessment statement, but what's interesting about the statement is that in it, the Bush administration
admits that there are already nuclear proliferation activities in Turkey, carried out by "certain Turkish entities". I'm willing
to bet that these "entities" refer to the Turkish companies, very possibly including those that Sibel has mentioned in
connection with nuclear technology black-marketing. Furthermore, according to the White House press release, the U.S.
government had to bring these "Turkish entities" to the attention of the Turkish government. That is the biggest load of
baloney ever! Does anyone - naive Westerners excepted, of course - honestly believe that, in a fascist regime like Turkey,
either the civil government or the Pasas wouldn't know about nuclear "proliferation activities" taking place inside the
country? Such an idea is not only absolutely preposterous, it's also impossible...'

But It All Comes Back To What Appears To Be A Straight Transaction - U.S. Nuclear Secrets For Turkish Drug Money...
'Sibel Edmonds, Susurluk And The Turkish Mafia' (2006)
'...Edmonds, who gave evidence to the 9/11 commission based on her experience, was fired by the FBI after she accused
colleagues of corruption involving Turkey. She is a celebrated whistle-blower in America. But she is bound by a draconian
gag order. She can't say a lot, but anyone interested in Susurluk's legacy should listen carefully to what she does say. She
questioned how drug trafficking can stop when it is so vital to the Turkish economy: "The sums of money are huge. If it
stopped it would cause an economic crash." Dr Ertan Bese, of the Turkish National Police Academy, wrote in his 2004
doctoral thesis on Turkish organised crime, that the underworld economy of Turkey is worth $60 billion, amounting to a
massive 25 per cent of Turkey's national income. A huge proportion of this figure is derived from heroin trafficking.
Edmonds has testified, in secret, to how she discussed hearing Turkish consular officials in the USA apparently
discussing drug deals. She told Druglink: "In Turkey everything is run by the military. These activities cannot take
place without the permission of the military and the permission of Turkish intelligence."...'

The U.S. Press Continues To Maintain A Total 'Blackout' On Sibel Edmonds 'Nuclear Treason' Allegations,
But Turkey's English Language Newspaper Runs The Full Story - And Names Names!
'The New Anatolian', Turkey: 'FBI Whistleblower Sibel Edmonds Spills Her Secrets'
'...In the summer of 2000, the FBI recorded a meeting between a Turk and two Saudi businessmen in Detroit in
which nuclear information stolen from an Air Force base in Alabama was offered: "We have a package and we're>
going to sell it for $250,000," the wiretap allegedly recorded. "The network appeared to be obtaining information
from every nuclear agency in the United States," Edmonds told the Times...She claims to have also learned that
corrupt officials in the Turkish and Israeli Ministries of Defense falsified end-user certificates on weapons purchased
in the United States to enable sales to third countries not allowed access to the technology. Principal recipients
include the five 'Stans' in central Asia - Pakistan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Kazakhstan...There have
been frequent reports of FBI field agents being frustrated by the premature closure of cases dealing with foreign spying,
particularly when those cases involve Israel, and the State Department has frequently intervened to shut down
investigations based on "sensitive foreign diplomatic relations."...It is generally believed that Waxman, a strong
supporter of Israel, is nervous about exposing an Israeli lobby role in the cases that Edmonds describes. It is also
suspected that Waxman fears that the revelations might open a Pandora's box,
damaging Republicans and Democrats alike...'

'On FBI Whistle-Blower Sibel Edmonds'
'...She also claimed that Al Qaeda was 95% financed by drugs, but the 9/11 Commission went out of its way to
write "there is no reliable evidence that Bin Laden was involved in or made his money through drug trafficking."
This drug trade goes back to the CIA's long-time involvement with Pakistan's ISI and the BCCI. It grew greatly
during the effort to oust the Soviets from Afghanistan. If today, the CIA, the Taliban, and Al Qaeda are all
involved in the Afghan drug trade, it would not be surprising if they had some common business relationships
or, at the least, were all dealing with the same major Afghan drug lords...At the heart of her problems were her
claims that Turkish money was making its way to US politicians and that the Turks and others were involved in
the drug and illicit arms trade. She has repeatedly claimed that she was gagged because she knew criminally
obtained money was reaching people in high places in the United States government. In 1997, British Home
Secretary Tom Sackville angered his government by openly stating that Turkey was neck-deep in the international
drug trade. He was correct in point of fact, but Turkey is an important western ally, and it would be disconcerting
to take the next step and suggest that the US and UK simply look the other way, even when some of this drug
money ends up in the coffers of Al Quada. About $40 billion worth of heroin and illegal drugs pass through Turkey
each year; most of it going to Europe. Turkey receives, processes, and ships heroin from a "Golden Triangle,"
Afghanistan, Pakistan, and Iran. The Turkish mafia coordinates all this, but they work in conjunction with the MIT
(Turkish Intelligence Agency), the military command, and police. The trade comprises about a quarter of the
nation's GNP, and it can be assumed that much of the profit goes to the state itself. For some reason, the people
on Vice President Cheney's staff who were busy discrediting CIA agent Valerie Plame and her husband Ambassador
Joseph Wilson had close ties to Turkey...'

'Turkey's Drug-Terrorism Connection'
'...Those routes were the ones favored by smugglers who reportedly carried NATO military equipment to the Middle
East and returned with loads of heroin. Judge Carlo Palermo, an Italian magistrate based in Trento, discovered
these smuggling operations while investigating arms-and-drug trafficking from Eastern Europe to Sicily. Judge Palermo
disclosed that large quantities of sophisticated NATO weaponry - including machine guns, Leopard tanks and U.S.-built
Cobra assault helicopters - were smuggled from Western Europe to countries in the Middle East during the 1970s and
early 1980s. According to Palermo's investigation, the weapon delivers were often made in exchange for consignments
of heroin that filtered back, courtesy of the Grey Wolves and other smugglers, through Bulgaria to northern Italy. There,
the rugs were received by Mafia middlemen and transported to North America. Turkish morphine base supplied much of
the Sicilian-run "Pizza connection," which flooded the U.S. and Europe with high-grade heroin for several years. While it
is still not clear how the NATO supplies entered the pipeline, other investigations have provided some clues. Witnesses
in the October Surprise inquiry into an alleged Republican-Iranian hostage deal in 1980 claimed that they were allowed to
select weapons from NATO stockpiles in Europe for shipment to Iran. Iranian arms dealer Houshang Lavi claimed that he
selected spare parts for Hawk anti-aircraft batteries from NATO bases along the Belgian-German border. Another witness,
American arms broker William Herrmann, corroborated Lav''s account of NATO supplies going to Iran...Italian magistrates
described the network they had uncovered as the "world's biggest illegal arms trafficking organization." They linked it to
Middle Eastern drug empires and to prestigious banking circles in Italy and Europe...the CIA's link to the arms-for-drugs
traffic in Bulgaria was widely known in espionage circles...'

First Major Bank Declares U.S. Is In Recession
Davos Elite Warned Of Serious Coming Economic Risks As Public Duped By Talk Of 'Recovery'
'U.S. Economy In Recession: BMO Capital Markets'
'The U.S. economy is in a recession, BMO Capital Markets said Wednesday as it lowered its growth forecasts
for both the U.S. and Canada. "The marked and widespread deterioration of business, consumer and investor
sentiment since the start of 2008 has prompted us to revisit and revise our forecast," said the report from the
brokerage firm's research department. The firm now forecasts that U.S. GDP will fall by 0.5 per cent in the first
quarter and contract by a further one per cent in the second. The forecast pointed to a housing sector that
"shows no sign of bottoming," tightening credit conditions, rising unemployment, dismal retail sales and
higher energy prices that squeeze consumers' purchasing power...'

'Canada Will Skirt Recession, But U.S. Already There, Says BMO's Cooper'
'The U.S. is in a recession, but Canada will avoid one of its own in 2008 largely due to commodity-driven
growth, BMO chief economist Sherry Cooper told the Canadian Club of Ottawa. "I'm here to tell you
unfortunately that the data now in my view suggests the U.S. economy is in a recession," said Cooper
as she opened her speech at the packed Fairmont Chateau Laurier ballroom. Cooper said the emergency
move by the U.S. Federal reserve to cut its key lending rate by 75 basis points was "breathtaking." "The
Fed just doesn't do that unless they truly believe that the U.S. economy is in dire need of stimulus," she said.
Cooper said she believes the U.S. recession began in late 2007, heralded by disappointing Christmas sales,
a 13% increase in unemployment and continuing declines in the U.S. stock market. "The markets are telling
us that the economy is weak. And the fed is telling us not only that the U.S. economy is weak, but the U.S.
financial institutions have serious problems," she said, citing the gigantic writedowns by U.S. financial giants
Citigroup and Merrill Lynch and their subsequent search for investment and loans from sovereign funds at
exorbitant 11% and 12% interest rates. "Citibank has sold 15% of itself," she said. "A good 15% of Citibank
is now owned by the Arab community."...'

Toronto Star: 'U.S. Slide An Expanding Threat'
'Talk of a looming economic recession in the U.S. is moving from a question of "if" to a debate about
"how serious," a shift that doesn't bode well for Canada's economic prospects. Some U.S. observers are
now warning that any economic recession south of the border could be more severe than the one brought
on by the burst of the tech bubble in 2001 and, possibly, on par with some of the more severe financial crises
in industrialized countries since the end of the Second World War. Reasons cited include a meltdown in the
subprime mortgage market, an ongoing credit crunch, high energy prices, a weakening job market and faltering
consumer spending. No matter how you slice it, observers say, a further slump in the U.S. economy is bound to
have an impact on Canada - it's just a matter of how severe....all bets are off if the U.S. economy slides into a
prolonged period of contraction because the close trade relationship between Canada and the United States will
mean fallout for Canada. Hardest hit would be the already wobbly manufacturing heartland in Ontario and
Quebec since most of the goods produced in the two provinces are destined for sale south of the border....'

The Times: 'Davos Delegates React To Fed Interest Rate Cut'
'The US Federal Reserve was accused today of acting recklessly with its dramatic slashing of interest rates, with
one senior delegate at the World EconomicForum in Davos saying it risked igniting a fresh bubble. Amid cautious
support for the Fed's action yesterday among business leaders gathered in the mountain resort, Stephen Roach,
the head of Asia for the US investment bank Morgan Stanley, struck a more critical note, saying he was astonished
that the Fed had let itself be goaded into action by a market panic. "We have a market-friendly Fed possibly injecting
a lot of liquidity in the system which will set us up for another bubble economy. I'm sort of worried that all they did
yesterday was to hit the snooze button," he said....'

The Times: 'Message From Davos: The Recession Is Coming'
'A full-blown, prolonged recession in America is now inescapable, with the rest of the world set to be dragged into a
severe global slowdown despite yesterday's emergency US interest rate cut by the Federal Reserve, leading economists
said in Davos this morning. A darkening outlook for the global economy looked set to dominate the week-long World
Economic Forum, as plunging stock markets and the Fed's drastic and dramatic reaction overshadowed the opening of
the annual gathering of political and business leaders. Some of the world's most prominent economic pundits told an
opening session this morning that the Fed's surprise three-quarter-point cut in US official interest rates was already
"too little, too late" to stave off recession in America. In a bleak discussion of prospects, the economists predicted
that Britain, Europe and much of Asia also now face a sharp and unavoidable downturn in their economies,
even if they escaped recession....'

U.S. Media Blackout On Astonishing Sibel Edmonds 'Nuclear Treason' Allegations Still Continues!
'Found In Translation: FBI Whistleblower Sibel Edmonds Spills Her Secrets'
'..."The ATC, founded in 1994 and modeled on the American Israel Public Affairs Committee, was intended to
promote Turkish interests in Congress and in other public forums. Edmonds refers to ATC and AIPAC as "sister
organizations." The group's founders include a number of prominent Americans involved in the Israel-Turkey
relationship, notably Henry Kissinger, Brent Scowcroft, Richard Perle, Douglas Feith, and former congressman
Stephen Solarz. Perle and Feith had earlier been registered lobbyists for Turkey through Feith's company,
International Advisors Inc. The FBI was interested in ATC because it suspected that the group derived at least
some of its income from drug trafficking, Turkey being the source of 90 percent of the heroin that reaches Europe,
and because of reports that it had given congressmen illegal contributions or bribes. Moreover, as Edmonds told
the Times, the Turks have "often acted as a conduit for the Inter-Services Intelligence, Pakistan's spy agency,
because they were less likely to attract attention." ...'

'Amid collapsing stock prices worldwide, the billionaire investor George Soros has told an Austrian
daily, the Standard, that the United States is threatened with recession and the world is facing the
worst financial crisis in half a century. "The situation is much more serious than any other financial
crisis since the end of World War II," Soros was quoted as saying...'

'Soros Warns Of Worst Crisis Since WW2'
'...Asked whether he thought the U.S. was headed for a recession, he said: 'Yes, this is a threat in
the United States'. He added he was surprised how little understanding there had been on how
recession was also a threat to Europe...'

Gulf Daily News: 'IMF Warns Of Serious Meltdown'
'All developed countries are suffering from the slowdown in the US putting the world economy in a
serious situation, IMF Managing Director Dominique Strauss-Kahn said yesterday. His comments came
after world stock markets fell sharply and demand for safe-haven bonds. "The situation is serious,"
he said...Spanish Finance Minister Pedro Solbes acknowledged: "We are worried in the sense that we
have to follow what's happening every hour and to try to understand what's happening." '

'London Stocks Rise But Confidence Is Weak'
'...The belief that the biggest single loosening of US monetary policy in a quarter of a century should
be enough to avert recession was balanced by more negative opinion that it is a panic measure and
evidence of how concerned about financial markets central bankers must be...Some brokers dismissed
the rebounds as barely more than a “technical bounce”, with little in the way of true optimism at its core.'

'European Markets Shed Early Gains'
'....Analysts predicted today that the mayhem in the financial markets will continue for weeks, as London
traders kept selling after yesterday's turbulent session and hectic trading in Asia overnight. Martin Slaney,
head of derivatives at GFT Global Markets, said that yesterday's shock cut in US interest rates would only
provide temporary respite to bruised investors. Further cuts are already expected, he added. "Although the
panic may have subsided for now, the fear of the market turning lower is still there. Volatility is likely to
continue at its current sky-high levels for the next few weeks, as investors digest further rate moves by the
US," said Slaney. The London stock market fell into negative territory again this morning, following one of
the most dramatic day's trading in years. After rising around 80 points in early trading, the FTSE 100 index of
leading shares soon fell back as investors continued to digest the implications of a global economic slowdown...'

U.S. Media Blackout On Astonishing Sibel Edmonds 'Nuclear Treason' Allegations Still Continues!
The Guardian, UK: 'U.S. Journalists Ignore Sunday Times Scoop On FBI Nuclear Scandal'
".......It revolves around accusations made by an FBI whistleblower, Sibel Edmonds, who - among other things
- claims that the bureau was investigating a Turkish and Israeli-run network that paid high-ranking American
officials to steal nuclear weapons secrets. These were then sold on the international black market to countries
such as Pakistan and Saudi Arabia...This looks to me like a very hot story indeed that should surely have been
taken up by mainstream newspapers in the United States ..."

UPDATE:
The Stock Market Carnage Continues With No End In Sight!
'Fed Rate Cut Fails To Stem Market Losses'
'.Ted Scott, manager of F&C's UK Growth & Income Fund, described the rate cut as a response to
the rapidly deteriorating economic conditions that the market is increasingly factoring in. In the
short term it may provide a fillip to equities and a relief to borrowers. However, the move also smacks
of panic, says Scott, given it was an emergency cut as the meeting hadn't been scheduled until the
end of the month. Furthermore, the cut suggests the economy is already in dire straits and paradoxically
confirms the markets' worst fears. Scott adds that the Fed has been reactive rather than proactive and
the danger is that it is too little, too late. For the longer term such a loose monetary policy runs the risk
of stocking up inflation, which may be why the it has been slow to react.
The worst case scenario would be stagflation....'

'EU's Almunia Says U.S. Fed Rate Cut Does Not Change View Of Global Economy'

Los Amgeles Times: 'Stocks Plummet Despite Fed Rate Cut'
'The Federal Reserve made an emergency interest-rate cut this morning to stem the widening circle of fear
over the global economy, but U.S. stocks plunged anyway as the Dow Jones industrial average
sank more than 400 points in the opening minutes....'

Fortune: 'A Recession Of Global Dimensions?'
'Are we entering America's first globalization recession? I think we may well be, but before explaining why,
I want to emphasize two points. First, whether we're going into a recession at all is uncertain. Merrill Lynch's
chief economist says we're already in one; Goldman Sachs's chief economist says we'll be in one by next
quarter; Lehman Brothers' chief economist still doesn't expect one. Let's not worry about what to call it: The
reality is that we're in a deep economic slowdown that will affect millions of people. The second point is that
I remain a huge fan of globalization. It will help more people than it hurts, in America and worldwide. But it will
certainly produce new challenges, and today's economic situation looks like one of them....'

'...Decades of stagnant wages have left the American worker hamstrung and unable to continue

only added to his problems. The American consumer is tapped-out. That means that aggregate
demand will fall dramatically across the world triggering increases in unemployment, decreases in capital
expansion, and widespread slowdown in businessactivity. These are the beginnings of a deflationary
spiral that will wipe out trillions of dollars of market capitalization in the real estate, equities and bonds
markets. Even gold and oil will retreat significantly. (as we saw in Monday's results)...As the stock market
continues its inexorable downward plunge, foreign central banks and investors need to reevaluate the
present situation and aggressively pursue legal alternatives. They should initiate a boycott of all U.S.
financial products until an appropriate settlement for the hundreds of billions in losses due to the
'structured finance' swindle can be negotiated. That is the best way that they can serve their own
national interests and those of their people. Deregulation has annihilated the credibility of US markets.
There is no oversight; it's the Wild West. The assets are falsely represented, the ratings are meaningless,
and there's a clear intention to deceive. That means that the stewardship of the global economic system
is no longer in good hands. There needs to be a fundamental change. As the 'nightmare scenario' of global
recession continues to unfold; we need new leaders in Europe and Asia to step up and fill the void.'

U.S. Media Blackout On Astonishing Sibel Edmonds 'Nuclear Treason' Allegations Still Largely Intact
- FoxNews Breaks Embargo, Reprints Entire Sunday Times Blockbuster On Its U.S. Web Site...
UPDATE! 'FBI 'Covers Up' File Exposing Theft Of Nuclear Secrets'
'The FBI has been accused of covering up a key case file detailing evidence against corrupt
government officials and their dealings with a network stealing nuclear secrets...One of the
documents relating to the case was marked 203A-WF-210023. Last week, however, the FBI
responded to a freedom of information request for a file of exactly the same number by claiming
that it did not exist. But The Sunday Times has obtained a document signed by an FBI official
showing the existence of the file. Edmonds believes the crucial file is being deliberately covered up
by the FBI because its contents are explosive. She accuses the agency of an "outright lie". "I can
tell you that that file and the operations it refers to did exist from 1996 to February 2002. The file refers
to the counterintelligence programme that the Department of Justice has declared to be a state secret
to protect sensitive diplomatic relations," she said...'

'UK Times: Official Documents Prove FBI Lied To Protect U.S. Officials'
'...The FBI's comments demonstrate conclusively that either: a) They are lying, or b) They have
destroyed the evidence of this multi-year investigation concerning the corruption of high-level US
officials, the nuclear black market, money laundering and narcotics trafficking...'

'UK Sunday Times Confirms FBI Cover Up Of Documents In Sibel Edmonds Nuke Secrets Case'
'Times header...has already been changed to "FBI Denies File Exposing Nuclear Secrets Theft"...'
(Click on the link above to see a Google screenshot of the original Sunday Times headline)

'Times Online Drops The Other Shoe On The Turkish Espionage Ring...'
''...Now, my favorite part, the part that no one wanted to publish in the US: "It claims the government
official warned a Turkish member of the network that they should not deal with a company called Brewster
Jennings because it was a CIA front company investigating the nuclear black market. The official's warning
came two years before Brewster Jennings was publicly outed when one of its staff, Valerie Plame, was
revealed to be a CIA agent in a case that became a cause celebre in the US..."

FoxNews Breaks Sibel Edmonds Allegations In U.S.! Runs Latest Sunday Times Story In Its Entirety!'
FoxNews scoops the rest of the U.S. media by finally breaking this sensational story in the United States!
'U.S. Media Covering Up For Government?' - Daniel Ellsberg
"...this is the time for those who have so far creditably leaked to the Times of London to come forward,
accepting personal risks, to offer their testimony - and new documents - both to the Congress and to the
American press. I would say to them, "Don't do what I did: waste months of precious time trying to get
congressional committees to act as they should in the absence of journalistic pressure." Do your best to
inform the American public directly, first, through the major American media. But perhaps today the
alternative media and the international press are a necessary precursor even to that. ..."
